The sorting plant has been designed to recover recyclable material from commercial, industrial and residential to extract any remained valuable recyclable, particularly plastics, metals and paper.  The recyclable items will be conveyed via the conveyor belt to the trommel. 

The purpose of the trommel is to sieve out small items, and only allow the big recyclable items to flow through for picking. The recyclable items will be conveyed via the conveyor belt to the picking stations, whereby carton boxes, white paper, mixed paper, Old newspaper, plastics and metal are picked and sorted into the various Open Top Containers below the picking stations.  

Colex Environmental Pte Ltd conducts educational recycling tour for the school to visit our MRF. The tour also inclusive a brief presentation and educational video is shown to explain the purpose and benefits of recycling.
